Jon Eden suggested we get going with a blog to list stuff we want to do for PTSA so here are some of my thoughts.

First, I think most folks would like to have some socializing added to the mix, I know I would. I love to race but I never get to talk to the boat owners, crew and spouses out there. I published a notice in the PTSA newsletter that I thought a pizza party after a race would be a good idea, Sue Edwards ("Rebound", Catalina 320) agreed and called offering to help. So tentatively, here is what I have going:

May 29 at 8:00, I have the PTYC reserved for us at NO CHARGE (I am on the board and got them to sponsor us this first time as a freebe). Starting at 8:00, the club will be open. This should be early enough for even a quick race. Then we get the pizza delivered for however many people that sign up. Sirens has been a sponsor, God Bless 'Em but we can't bring kids and it doesn't allow enough room for all the boats and crews so perhaps we can buy the beer and drinks from them?

But this also means that the folks that sign up will be on the hook for the costs whether you make it or not. And we also need to find out if PTSA is going to be the sponsor of this or if it's Dan and Linda on Pegasus XIV.

I did a yacht club sponsored pizza party and we ate about 1/3 of an extra large pizza apiece. Figure a $25 XLG pizza for $8.25 then throw in a keg of beer and we are looking at probably $12 each? Does that sound OK?

So does May 29 after the race work for everyone? Any thoughts?

Dan

Pizza XIV ...I mean Pegasus XIV
